The Fairy Tale of Anna-locks

There once was a beautiful GSD named Anna-locks. She was what some might call "high maintenance" but she was okay with that.

One night, as her mom went off to sleep, Anna-locks tried falling asleep in her "Lair of Doom" aka under the bed. But Anna-locks laid there and thought, this bed is too hard...I need to sleep somewhere else!

So Anna-locks crawled up on the bed with her mom...who was sleeping like a bear! She laid down and put her little puppy head on a pillow...it was a body pillow her dad used at night. After tossing and turning, Anna said, this pillow is too poofy!

Anna-locks then rooted the poofy body pillow off the bed (oh so quietly I assure you), then laid her head down on her dad's normal pillow. "Ahhh....this one is just right!" she said! She was so comfortable and relaxed that as she drifted off to dreamland, she pooted.

This woke up the momma-bear who was pretty much awake during the whole "Anna-locks getting comfy thing" and had had enough. With a GRRRRRRRRR (or more like a sleepy ANNA!!) momma bear scared off Anna-locks.

But Anna-locks, using the power of cute, came back, snuggled with mom bear an they all lived happily ever after! THE END.

Well, this is MY version of the story anyway, I don't know why mom looks so sleepy today and told dad she didn't get any sleep last night because of "his daughter." Must have been one of the kitties doing something!! Whistle....whistle.....

  1. I love this happy ending story! So glad that you had found your perfect bed and pillow and had some good beauty sleep.
I don't understand why your mom complained as she had a comfy furry bolster with her, anyway, I think you're right that some kitties out there disturbed her last night and that's why she didn't sleep well. YOu're definitely right, Anna!

  5. Everyone knows a comfortable pillow is the key to a good night's sleep. Maybe your momma doesn't know this. Maybe she needs a new pillow.

  7. You are one very lucky diva GSD, Anna - we don't get to be anywhere near the humans' bed. If we could, we would even settle for no pillow. We suggest you lie quietly tonight and let the Mom get some zzzzz's.

  8. So how else is you going to get your booty sleep if'n you cannot get comfy? Your mom is just trying to hog all the booty sleep. I would not let that happen if I woz you.

  9. Bwaaaaaa ha ha ha! Oh, I love a story with a happy ending! It's even better when it has a funny middle, too!

I think you and Morgan might have been a lot alike last night. Mom has been off work this week thanks to Snowmageddon and she came to bed last night after Dad went to bed. She found Dad under his quilt and Morgan sleeping above his head on the pillow. He said it was okay because "his girl" was the one in the spot!

I sleep under Mom's quilt or on her pillow pretty much every night!

  11. Rusty is the most common one on the bed and he starts out in a tight little ball - but always seems to end up all sprawled out taking up much of the bed.
