After they spend some time with Granny for Mom's Day on Saturday, they are flying out, first stop is Fee-nix to change planes, then on to Denver...I've made a drawing of it for you:
See, mom is going to be all the way over there, and Anna is going to be all the way over here! Boo! And she won't be here for mom's day! So I guess that means no pressies for her!
Once mom and Aunt Temple get done in Denver with mom's conference, they're going up to Estes Park, Collar-ado to go to the Rocky Mountain National Park to go hiking. I asked mom if Aunt Temple will need to borrow my backpack, but she said she's fine.
While up there, they're staying at the HAUNTED Stanley Hotel, the basis of some movie called the Shining?
Mom is making all sort of notes and things for dad...so he knows how much noms to feed us and when and who gets what pills when and stuff. Very important nom information. So after Friday I won't be around for a bit, cause mom is taking the technologies with her.
Hope you Moms has a great time on her trip!! Try to keep yourself busy, while she is away!!

HAHAHA!! Those dads need lots of written instructions, and they STILL call the moms on the phone with questions. Take good care of him while she's gone!!
ReplyDeleteOH man she really is going very far away! She is one brave girl to be staying in that haunted hotel. I hope she doesn't bring any spirits back home. HEE HEE
ReplyDeleteWe hope your mom has a great trip! And, hopefully, if your dad is anything like mine, you'll get away with doing some stuff that mom doesn't let you do! BOL!

Oh Anna, you sooooo need to go with her! I think your mom and Aunt Temple be up to no goods with the hauntings and all and if'n they get lost hiking, who is going to gib them comforts like only a German shepherd can? But, well, you would need to fly in that airoplane thingie and that would be too skeery and why, I ask, duss it go all the way to Feenix and then backtrack, makes no sense in my brane at all! So yup, stay home and give your dad the shepherd comforts instead. And if'n he messes up your noms, you set him strate, k? Even if'n he dussn't mess them up, make him THINK he did and you can get more, BOL! We sends wishes fur your mom to has a safe trip!
ReplyDeleteMom is going hiking without you? That just isn't right - I am sure you could fit in her luggage is you tried :) Dad is sure to take good care of you though.
ReplyDeleteYer Ma is really brave to leave yer dad at home alone and stuff. Mamma isn't sure the 4 of us could take adekwat care of Pops. He might get lost or something. Tell yer Ma to have fun!!

I will miss you Anna. I don't think it is right fur your mom to be gone on Mom's day. BUTT... since she will be... I'm thinkin YOU should get the Pressie INSTEAD.
ReplyDeleteNow... tell your mom to make a COPY of the Dad Instructions... beclaws you KNOW how Dads can be about not finding stuffs and such.
We hope your mom has a great trip!! We love the map..that's cool!!! We bet she brings you back lots of presents!! Lots of love, Holly and mom
ReplyDeleteHi Anna
ReplyDeleteI hope your mum stays safe on her trip and I'm sure you will be OK. We'll miss you but we look forward to hearing all your news when your Mum gets home.
Lots of love from Winnie
I hope your mom has a great trip, but I bet it would be even better if she had you to keep her company! We stayed in the most haunted place in the United States last weekend and the ghosts pretty much left us alone.
ReplyDeleteBunny
Your Mom sounds just like ours - she writes a whole book of stuff for Dad:) Too bad she isn't connecting through KC, Mom would have gone to the airport to say hi to her.
ReplyDeleteWoos ~ Phantom, Thunder, and Ciara
I am currently writing an "instruction book" for Chester and Gretel to leave with the dog-sitter while we are on vacation to Banff National Park this weekend. I am sure you are just as bummed as Chester and Gretel are that you won't get to hike with your mom.
ReplyDeleteOh my word!! She better not bring any ghosts home

I hope your mom has a great time and hurries back to you. Think she's gonna buy you an new collar in Collarado?
ReplyDeleteKisses,

I hope your mom has a safe and great trip, it seems she is going to travel really far away from home. Stay with your dad and give him loads of licks, I bet he will be very generous with treats too.
ReplyDeleteHave fun and take good care of your dad!
Yikes, a haunted hotel? I wonder if there are doggie ghosts?!
ReplyDeleteWoofs & hugs,
~Bailey
Heeeeerrreee's Johnny!! Hope he's not really there! Tell you mom to take pictures of the scarey hotel! Save your Mom's pressies - she WILL be back!
ReplyDeletePedro
Anna - We just think that is SOOOO not right that your Mom would go to the mountains and hike without YOU! Totally not fair. She could totally DRIVE there. Serves her right that she won't get any Mother's Day presents, eh?
ReplyDeleteMaybe you can convince your Dad to give you extra treats to make up for this :)
The Road Dogs
Friday the 13th in the Stanley Hotel??? Oh that is the coolest thing ever. I sure hope you do a post about it when you get back! :)
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, Anna! The Stanley Hotel scares the bajeezus out of me! I'm hoping for a post about that, too. Good luck with Dad. I know being left with The Dad can be dodgy at best... ;)
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to hear her tales from the haunted Stanley Hotel on Friday the 13th! (Wait, today is Friday the 13th! We like to think of it as a good luck day!) Hope she back soon, and I'm sure it will be lots of hugs and kisses!
ReplyDeleteHope you Mom has a great time and isn't scared at that Hotel. I think I would be. Keep you Dad in line.
