Hunger Strike

I've made a decision...I no longer want kibble. I, Anna the GSD have gone on a hunger strike. The only thing I want now is my raw meals. This is my stand.

I don't know how it happened, but I've realized my raw meals of chiken and stuff I get at night are WAAAAAY better than my kibble crap I get in the morning. So this week, I have begun to pick at my kibble.

Mom even puts tasty stuff like yogurt and tripe and eggs in it, but I just ain't feelin it no more. I want the good stuff. So I'll sniff my kibble, and walk away. Making mom make me go eat breakfast. Then I'll eat some. Drop some on the ground. Scoot my bowl around. Walk off. Flip my bowl over. I think she's taken the hint.

While she was wanting to wait till the end of the month until the "freezer" got here allowing her to have plenty of space to make meals way ahead of time and to order in bulk, I've decided that this makes way too much sense and that I need to be a butt about it two weeks before said freezer got here. I'm about to turn one after all, I need big girl food!

So as of tomorrow, we're going full raw. Duncan is amazed at my ability to go on a hunger strike. He kinda likes it cause he tries to eat my leftover kibble. But mom catches him. He's on a strict diet cause he's a "big boy" and needs to lose weight. I think going on the all raw will help him achieve his goal!

Mom even talked to the butcher at Pub-licks who is going to special order me some beef heart and mom is going to see what other deals she can get. He'll even store it at the store for her until the freezer gets here.

Other than that, I was supposed to be a helper this weekend and help mom and dad get ready to paint the house, but it's supposed to rain all weekend. I guess we'll just have to stay inside and take lots of naps! Yay!
